    We stayed at this hotel 2 nights while in town for a photography class and was completely thrilled from check-in to check-out. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful..the location is PERFECT with the lake view of Lake Michigan out your window, the Navy Pier a 2 minute walk, and Michigan Avenue for shopping only 4 blocks away. The rooms are top notch as with all W

    The hotel was excellent in most respects except for the annoying music that plays day and night in the elevator and lobby. I don't know whether it is trying to give the appearance of being "super-cool" or "trendy" but since this is not a youth hostel, I don't see the necessity of playing music that makes you think you're in a bar or disco 24 hours a day.

    I stayed at the W for New Year's 2010-2011, expecting to be "wowed" by the experience. However, I thought it was just a mediocre hotel and was surprisingly disappointed by my choice to stay at the W. It was an average hotel with a big price tag in my opinion. Also, I thought the service was not to the expectaion of the W name. I would not stay there again simply because it is not worth the price. I would suggest staying at another hotel.

    This was one of my favorite hotels that I have stayed at in my entire life! The service is so great, their motto is Whatever, Whenever, and they mean it. We got a great rate on travel agency. The location is nice, not right on Michigan Ave, but comfortable walking and with no concern for safety. I would say the only disappointment that I had was that after a day of walking in a chilly Chicago day, was that there was not a hot tub by the pool. The pool was nice, but the hot tub would have been better. Other than that, it was clean, the decor was great, the bar was superb. Loved it!

    Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location to shoppiing and Navy Pier. Hotel was not what I would expect for this price. Rooms were small and just a little worn. We were on the 32nd floor and could hear the music from the nightclub late at night. Overall, though, I would recommend it if you can get a deal.
